Karen Rae Kraut is a freelance professional
storyteller, touring and teaching artist, workshop presenter,
and keynote speaker. Her storytelling musical extravaganzas
are adaptations of world folktales, adding music, movement,
songs and audience participation.
A Storyteller's version
of Mozart's
last opera, The Magic Flute, with opera singer Mark Almy, commissioned
by the McCallum Theatre Institute and Vaudeville Mystery Theatre
with musician Rainbow Casey and dancer April Rhodes are Kraut's
latest offerings.
The crown of her English/Spanish
bi-lingual programs is The Prairie Flowers: Songs and Stories
of the Wild, Wild West, featuring the true story of Elfego
Baca, from 1884
New Mexico.
Karen's CD Cooler Water Cora and Other
Stories is the winner of a National Parenting Publications
Honors Award and an iParenting Media Award for Audio Excellence.
